Check What Requirements You Need to Fulfill During an Admission

Besides university admission documents, there are other conditions that you need to fulfill while immigrating to Canada for education. This covers the following;

  • Enrolment times
  • Language requirements
  • Credit scores for the college degree
  • Application letter to the university
  • Student profile requirements
  • Other requirements may vary from university to university

Submit all the required documents

Right after understanding various requirements, you need to start gathering the documents and submit to them. The list of documents may include the following;

  • A certified copy of your diploma
  • A duly filled course application form
  • An updated CV or student profile
  • A letter of your intent
  • Language results (only 1-year-old results are valid)
  • Proof of funds
  • For a Ph.D. or Masters program, you will need to submit two academic references. In addition, you will be required to submit previous letters of employment.
  • If you never studied in Canada before, you will need to submit Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)

Get a letter of acceptance (LOA)

After your application is processed by the university, you will receive your official acceptance letter. The Letter of Acceptance (LOA) will include the following:

  • the Canadian DLI name and contact details;
  • the Name of the candidate, date of birth, and registered email address;
  • the study, level, and duration of the program with start and completion date;
  • an expiry period of the LOA

Apply for a Study Permit

While applying for your study permit, you need to prove the following;

  • have enough funds to support yourself;
  • have a medical certificate from an approved doctor (for over 6 months of course or program)
  • have the intent to come to Canada to study;
  • Provide Police Clearance also known as a police certificate
