Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Program are the ideal pathways to enter Canada and attain Permanent Residency. If you’re a skilled immigrant and wish to attain PR, Express Entry is the best pathway to enter Canada. In this, applicants receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on factors including Age, Education, Experience, Language Exam Score, and strong connections in Canada, and with this CRS Score their profile is ranked against other applicants in the pool.

The higher CRS Scores an immigrant has the more chances of getting an ITA. On the other hand, if the immigrant with less CRS Score, then Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is the best pathway to enter Canada. This program covers 9 provinces and 2 territories across Canada. Each province or territory has a good number of immigration programs that increase the options for immigrants to attain Canadian PR.

It’s totally not about which is the better way, they both offer different options. If you’re a Skilled Worker or Professional Businessman, you can apply through Express Entry. You are required to have a good CRS lf you do not qualify for Express Entry or your CRS score is too low to qualify then you can take the PNP route.

You will be required to take the IELTS test and need to know your NOC code to know whether your occupation is the demand in that province or not.  Most people will apply to all the provinces hoping that at least one of them will reply back with a job offer. You too can create your profile in the Express Entry even if you don’t qualify as some provinces pick candidates from the EE pool to fill vacancies.
